Featured Team Member: Ricky Eller
Role: Chief Operations Officer
Welcome to inPulse! This is our weekly spotlight series where we check in with team members across inWorks LLC to share what’s energizing their work, celebrate milestones, and surface upcoming events or shoutouts. It’s a casual, story-driven way to stay connected and inspired by the voices that make our team thrive.
This week, we’re catching up with Ricky, our Chief Operating Officer, to hear what’s on the horizon, what’s been meaningful lately, and what’s keeping the momentum going.
Project Spotlight: Modernizing Legacy Systems
Ricky is gearing up for a potential new initiative that could significantly impact a client’s operations. The project centers around customizing Microsoft Dynamics to replace an aging legacy system that currently runs on an outdated physical server. This system is not only fragile but also no longer customizable, making it a critical point of concern for the client’s business continuity.
The proposed solution involves migrating the database and core functions to Dynamics, transitioning everything to the cloud. This move would modernize the infrastructure, improve stability, and open the door for future growth through advanced customization. It’s a forward-thinking approach that reflects inWorks’ commitment to solving complex challenges with scalable, modern tools.
Overcoming Challenges: Staying Organized in a Fast-Paced Environment
I think I overcome my obstacles with organization and task management on a daily if not hourly basis. What works one day may not work the next, and that’s ok!
He leans into the Office 365 environment, exploring apps and features that support productivity, and isn’t afraid to pivot when something no longer serves him. Recently, he’s found value in revisiting familiar tools with a fresh perspective and even discovering new tips through unconventional sources like TikTok.
One standout strategy has been using the To Do App in Microsoft Outlook to track weekly tasks—a simple yet effective way to stay focused and responsive in a fast-moving role.
Team Connection: Celebrating Growth Together
This month marked a special milestone for Ricky—an anniversary with inWorks that sparked reflection on how far the team has come. When Ricky first joined, it was just him, Ilya, and Ryan tackling technical challenges.
Fast forward to today, and that tight-knit group has grown into a thriving company, powered by a passionate and determined team.
Looking back, Ricky shared how rewarding it’s been to witness the evolution of inWorks—from launching new initiatives to welcoming fresh faces and building the businesses they once dreamed about. It’s a testament to the shared vision and commitment that continues to drive the team forward.
Moments like these remind us that growth isn’t just about numbers—it’s about the people who make it happen.
