This week, we are sitting down with Leah Harper; our wonderful and talented Gallery Coordinator at The Longview Farm
Celebrating a big win: The Holiday Exhibit
Leah recently executed coordinating Longview Farm’s annual Holiday Exhibit! This gallery exhibit definitely showed Leah’s prowess in coordination and communication: managing 30 different artists, keeping inventory of material, and presenting a cohesive product for gallery attendants! Leah is very proud of how it turned out – and WE are very proud of her!
Come see the culmination of all of Leah’s work at the gallery!
Small Wins That Make a Big Difference
Sometimes the most impactful moments come from tackling the tasks that linger in the background. This week’s win was finally completing a project that had been sitting on the back burner for weeks. It wasn’t urgent, but it was always there — creating that mental weight we all know too well.
After carving out time to focus, the task turned out to be far less challenging than expected. That sense of relief and accomplishment is a reminder that progress, no matter how small, can clear space for creativity and confidence moving forward.
“I wasn’t exactly sure how to approach it, so I didn’t feel confident. This week, however, I finally got around to this task and it was less challenging than I expected.” - Leah
Lesson in Self-Reflection
I’ve been having to do some intentional reflection on what I’m skilled at in regard to a working environment. Acknowledging and being confident in my skills is a challenge for me - I tend to downplay my accomplishments - but I’m starting to learn not to. I realized that, although my brain can be very chaotic and my daily systems too, I’m quite good at being organized, attentive, and thorough when it comes to a job I’m paid to do. - Leah
A Workplace Culture That Feels Like Home
One of the things she values most about her work environment is its relaxed, welcoming vibe. Instead of feeling like a rigid corporate space with strict rules about dress or demeanor, it feels more like a group of friends working together—a setting that fosters creativity and eases anxiety.
And then there’s Liliya, the farm’s spirited “wild child” and undeniable star of the show, who adds a unique charm to the day-to-day experience.
“It doesn’t feel like an intimidating corporate work environment where you have to dress a certain way, talk a certain way, or prove yourself. It feels more like a group of friends working together, and that’s cool (and better for the nervous system of an anxious person like me ).” _leah
