Devices
As expected for a Tuesday (devices day), we handled several device-related support cases. First up was a PC reset to address ongoing charging and HDMI connection problems. We've been assisting the PC user and collaborating with HP support on this issue for a couple of weeks, and we're pleased to announce the issue is finally resolved. After exhausting all possible solutions through our support channels and involving an HP technician, the final recommendation was to format the PC. Although the tool provided by HP did not work as expected, we proceeded with a Windows PC reset, which formatted the entire PC and restored it to its factory state. Following the reset and reconfiguration, we observed no further power error messages, and the user confirmed that HDMI functionality had been restored.
We also supported another user in migrating from one laptop to another. While some initial preparations were necessary to ensure the new PC was up to date, transferring user data from the old PC to the new one was quick and easy using OneDrive for Business. For this user, transferring their desktop sticky notes was the highest priority. It had been some time since I last used sticky notes, and I didn't remember if syncing was available with this tool. Fortunately, sticky notes do sync with a valid Office 365 account, and transferring the notes to the new PC was accomplished with just a few clicks.
Lastly, we began the firewall reset we mentioned last week. Unfortunately, we're experiencing some additional issues with getting the device to register with WatchGuard Cloud, but we are confident that with a dedicated block of time to focus on resolving these issues, we'll have the device re-deployed shortly.
Operations & Growth
At first, we were relieved that reconstructing our Business Central company for financial reporting would be unnecessary. But now, we realize it's essential due to the considerable reconciliation and reconfiguration required. Sometimes a drastic step is needed to ensure overall well-being. To kickstart this project, our bookkeeper will temporarily manage a separate set of accounts to keep our reporting functional until we fully transition back to Business Central. Stay tuned for more updates and insights from this journey!

Information Radiation
Exciting news! We have discovered a new sticky notes app that offers one-touch screenshots and other cool functionalities. Stay tuned for a special news post where we will dive deeper into all the amazing features of this new app and how it can boost your productivity.
We are also excited to share information about a new Microsoft 365 migration tool. This tool is particularly beneficial for smaller migrations and will support migration of data from G Suite and Microsoft tenant to tenant migrations, making it a valuable resource for potential clients. We are looking forward to learning more about its capabilities and how it can help streamline our migration processes.
Lastly, we are working on cleaning up legacy fields in Dynamics and transferring data to new fields to improve our data management. This initiative will help us maintain accurate and up-to-date information, ensuring better efficiency and organization.
